Teignbridge Hundred included the town of Ashburton on its southern border, and Moreton Hampstead near its northern boundary. On the west was the Dartmoor Forest. It is #28 on the map.
A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Teignbridge Hundred from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:
- "TEIGNBRIDGE, a hundred in the centre of Devon; containing 13 parishes. Acres: 58,490. Population in 1851: 14,814; in 1861: 14,120. Houses: 2,831."
GENUKI provides a longer description from White's History, Gazetteer, and Directory of Devonshire of 1850.
