• "SAGUENAY, a county of Quebec running on the St. Lawrence from the county of Charlevoix to the eastern boundary of the Province of Quebec, at Belle Isle. Chef-lieu, for judicial purposes, Murray Bay, and for municipal, Tadousac. The Island of Anticosti forms part of the county of Saguenay. Area 8,201,250 acres. Pop. in 1891, 9,555."
