A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Norton from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:

"NORTON, a township in Bromyard parish, Hereford; identified with Brockhampton township or parish. See Brockhampton."

A Vision of Britain through Time also states that Norton became a civil parish in 1894 and the civil parish was formed from part of the earlier parish of Norton with Brockhampton (redirected here). The two maps Herefordshire circa 1900 and Herefordshire circa 1935 show Norton parish between Bromyard and Brockhampton.
