Research Tips

I have to check more on this. I know it was my family who started New Liberty. I was told the Town didn't continue to grow because Clarkson, Ohio had a store. I really don't know a whole lot other than the Guy family attempted to start New Liberty. I have to find out the first name of my family & see what all they had in the Town. I know at one time Clarkson had a Store & Post office & Grange Hall & Funeral Home & Church & Cemetary & School. I know that the town wasn't far from Clarkson. It was Clarkson Pancake Rd it was off of heading toward Pancake Hill. I knew a lot of this from checking on my Ancestors a few years ago. It even showed on a map where it was. If I remember right it was on an Ohio site telling about Columbiana County & Middleton & Middleton Twp. It told about early Settlers. It said Guy's & Shirt's were some of the first Settlers in this area. Anyways all that area is grown up in weeds & woods. A person would have to know the exact location if they wanted to explore it to see if any things exist!
