History

Roswell Beebe and Senator Chester Ashley donated the land for Mount Holly to the city in 1843. The earliest recorded birth date is that of Peter LeFebre, born in 1850 in Canada. The first burial was William Cummins in 1843. Mount Holly is the final resting place for 11 Governors, 13 state Supreme Court Justices, four Confederate generals, 22 mayors of Little Rock, and numerous other Little Rock and Arkansas dignitaries.
