Lawrence Township is one of the fourteen townships of Lawrence County, Ohio and is located in the central part of the county. As of the 2010 census the population was 2,579. No municipalities are located in Lawrence Township, although the unincorporated community of Kitts Hill is located in the western part of the township. Statewide, other Lawrence Townships are located in Stark, Tuscarawas, and Washington counties.
