Kokrines is an inhabited place.

Kokrines is the site of a former trading post and Indian village on the right bank of the Yukon River between the Novikakat River and the village of Ruby.

Kokrines was founded by Gregory Kokrine shortly after the purchase of Alaska by the USA. The first location of Kokrines was a few miles upstream of the mouth of the Novikakat River across the Yukon. It was moved at an unknown date, but probably around 1898 when Gregory Kokrine died, to a location about 15 miles downriver from the Novikakat.

Kokrines central location on the Yukon meant that it was a stopping place for nearly all early travelers on the Yukon. Several early gold prospectors found their brides there. It was a station on the telegraph line to Nome and was on the Nome serum route.

After gold was discovered at Ruby, Kokrines began to decline and was finally abandoned.
