Gloucester St. Mary de Crypt was an ancient parish within the City of Gloucester and a civil parish from 1866 until 1896. Its full formal name was "the church of St. Mary de Crypt with All Saints and St. Owen", indicating the other churches with which it had ecclesiastical links. Parish registers began in 1653 for St. Mary de Crypt, but bishops transcripts date back to 1570. It is located to the south of Gloucester Cathedral beyond the parish of St. Nicholas. It "early" absorbed the parish of Gloucester St. Audonei. (Source:A Vision of Britain through Time which provided no further details.) Gloucester All Saints has also been redirected here.
