Place:Driel, Gelderland, Netherlands

Driel was the name of a municipality (gemeente) in Gelderland until 1944. The same municipality continues to exist today, but has been renamed as Maasdriel. In keeping with the "1900 rule" the name used for the WR place page is Driel.

This should not be confused with the Driel [bij Heteren] which is a village (dorp) since 2001 under Overbetuwe.
