Brightwell Salome is a village and civil parish in the South Oxfordshire District of Oxfordshire, England centred 4 1⁄2 miles (7 km) northeast of Wallingford. The 2011 Census recorded the parish's population as 204.

"Salome" is derived from the surname "Sulham". There is a Berrick Salome about 3 miles (5 km) to the west, and a Sulham near Reading, Berkshire. Brightwell Salome appears to be the older spelling and Britwell Salome (redirected here) the newer.
