Beeston St. Lawrence is now a village in the civil parish of Ashmanhaugh or Ashmanaugh in the English county of Norfolk, situated some 20 km north east of Norwich. Until 1935 Beeston St. Lawrence was a separate parish. It is quite small; Ashmanaugh parish, including Beeston St. Lawrence, has an area of 4.82 square kilometres and in the 2001 UK census had a population of 197 in 74 households. For the purposes of local government, the parish falls within the District of North Norfolk.
The church of Beeston St Lawrence is one of 124 existing round-tower churches in Norfolk.
