Aysgarth Rural District was an administrative division of the North Riding of Yorkshire based on the village of Aysgarth in the area known as Wensleydale.

According to a map found in GENUKI illustrating the ecclesiastical parishes of the North Riding of Yorkshire as they existed in the first half of the 19th century, Aysgarth was a very large parish covering the southwest corner of the North Riding. All the communities listed below were located in that one parish prior to 1866 when they were converted into civil parishes. This area of the North Riding was historically in the Hang West Wapentake.

Since the municipal reorganization of 1974, the area covered by Aysgarth Rural has been located in the Richmondshire District of North Yorkshire, England.
