Ysma [6 November 2012]

Do you think the Ysma's f.i. https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FNJS-CX9 could be the same family? I have the idea that this Eysma/Eisma migrated late 1700's or very early 1800's and when that's the case he must be born somewhere between 1770 and 1780 (don't ask me why, just a wild guess trying to make a timetable--henk 14:42, 5 November 2012 (EST)

well I've been searching threw dutch history, we had nothing with the Philipines, it was not a colony,, however there was one I think military action there where the dutch were involveld, of course there were the Dutch Indies, and there were Eisma's stationed there. there was no registry till about 1895. He said he was an engineer so there are a few possibilties The first Eisma was military engineer or he was a civil engineer working for a foreign (German, English,etc) company or government or he came from the Dutch Indiesand was asked to come there for his knowledge in civil works. I hope he can get a better pictue or description of that crest, the Lily surprises me most Frisian crests doesn't have that and the lion is strange. Frisians (I Think) use a half eagle. Further I see on the right 2 smaller crests that could mean 2 families
