Page Number? [15 April 2011]

This is a short paper that already has a page range included in the citation. A citation with multiple sets of page numbers is just confusing. That's why I've dropped it from about twenty other places. --Jrm03063 18:18, 14 April 2011 (EDT)

I was just looking at the diff and it showed the page number being removed. After I looked at the whole page, I saw it was in the source page. You're right, it's short, and it works. However, it still strikes me as a mistake to remove a more precise page range in favor of a less focused one. But a 10 page article is not that long. I think the design of source pages for the article class of sources could have captured some of the "contained in" aspect of articles better. --Jrich 19:26, 14 April 2011 (EDT)
I was trying to get things with this source, and the places that cite it, more together so that we could resume the transcription discussion in light of recently delivered functionality. That would include practices for how the citation should look, how the transcription should be indicated (I offer one way). Practices for the appearance of page specifications certainly could fit into that discussion. For example - it could be argued that the transcript should include headers that designate page breaks in the original document (not sure how I feel about that - but it's another idea) --Jrm03063 22:02, 14 April 2011 (EDT)
