This blog post mentions that Mary Elizabeth "died aboard ship and was pronounced dead in Baltimore Maryland September 2, 1874. She was buried in an unknown location in New York.". I'm wondering who is on lot 21295 and 21297

Response from Green-Wood Cemetery " Mary Elizabeth Alkema, also appearing on records as Mary E.. Alkenna, were interred April 30, 1875 in Lot 21297 Section 173. She was not an owner of the lot, and we do not know her maiden name. Dates of birth are not a part of our records, but rather age at time of death. She died September 2, 1874 at the age of 28 years 9 months. Late residence was Baltimore Md. Marital status is not indicated." --Jennifer (JBS66) 18:56, 11 March 2013 (EDT)

Stad Baltimore 30 mei 1876. Bij deze verklaar ik dat Mej. Mary E. Alkema, echtgenote van de kapitein James H. Alkema, kapitein van de brik? Levias?, stierf in het Marine hospitaal op 2 september 1874.
