Lineage. In 1711 he and 2 brothers, Richard and William, became wards of their uncle, William Wheeler of Concord, Massachusetts; Joseph returned to Durham, New Hampshire where his parents had been killed.

and the "Property" fact that was there saying

13 Jun 1719 William Wheeler "of Dorcester, Mass., Carpenter" sells property of his brother to nephew - Joseph

clearly do not belong to the Joseph born 24 Dec 1705, since his parents are explicitly named as Joseph and Sarah, whereas the Joseph from NH had parents named Family:John Wheeler and Elizabeth Perkins (1). Further, being born in 1705, he would not have been old enough to own property in 1719. So this is a combination of two people. Everything not pertaining to the birth date in 1705 is being removed. --Jrich 08:55, 11 March 2010 (EST)

If Joseph was born in 1705 he would have been too young to have a son born in 1724 (not of legal age-21 before marriage). Source:Wheeler Families of Old Concord, Massachusetts matches Joseph, the son of Joseph Wheeler and Sarah Ball, with Ruth Fox. Since it appears that Joseph Wheeler and Ruth Fox settled in Acton (children born there), he would be the grandson Joseph Wheeler of Acton mentioned in John Wheeler's will.

Further, this source matches Joseph, the son of William Wheeler and Sarah Fletcher with a wife named Sarah Fletcher. It traces a piece of property from William and Sarah Wheeler to son Joseph in 1738, then 1747 from Joseph and wife Sarah to son Joseph and wife Mary, then 1766 back to Joseph Sr. who turns around and conveys to son Amos, who mortgages it in 1768 with mother Sarah, widow, foregoing rights of dower before selling it out of the family in 1770.

This appears to be the right pairing of these Josephs. --Jrich 10:56, 11 March 2010 (EST)
