[edit] ProbateFHL 0432078 Middlesex Probate File 24306 Joseph Wheeler 1756 To the Honnourable Samuel Danforth Esq'r Judge of Probate for the County of Middlesex I the Subscriber Desire your Honour to give Letter of Administration to my Son Samuel Wheeler: upon the Estate of my Late Husband for I do not [???] to take it upon me and you will oblige - yours &c Ruth Wheeler Acton Sep'r ye 4: 1756. 6 Sep 1756: "Samuel Wheeler this day admitted Administrator of the Estate of Joseph Wheeler late of Acton aforesaid Deceased Intestate" To the Hon'ble Oliver Prescott Esq'r Judge of Probate for the county of Middlesex, the complaint of some of the Heirs at Law of the Estate of Joseph Wheeler Late of Acton in the county aforesaid, and others concerned Humbly sheweth - that Samuel Wheeler of Acton aforesaid yeoman was by Sam'l Danforth Esq'r formerly Judge of Probate for the county foresaid, appointed administrator of the Estate of Joseph Wheeler, Late of Acton, yeoman, Dec'd intestate many years Past, and Said Samuel hath not to this day settled said Estate - and it appears that said administrator is totaly unable to Perform said Trust, and the said administrator hath several times been cited to appear at the Probate office to Give an account of his administration, but he neglects So to Do - therefore your complainants himbly pray that the said Samuel Wheeler may be removed from Said Trust, and appoint Some other Person administrator of said Estate in his room - that the Estate aformentioned May be Settled as Soon as maybe and you will oblige your Most Humber Servants. Concord may ye 10 1787. Signed by William Edggel, Molley Wheeler [her mark], Joseph Wheeler, Ephraim Wood. Middlesex Concord April 12th 1787. To all the heirs at Law of Joseph Wheeler late of Acton in Said County deceased and to all others concerned - Greetings. Whereas it has been represented that the widow of the said Joseph is now deceased whereby that part of the Estate which was Sett to her for dower has reverted; you the said heirs and all others concerned are therefore hereby cited to appear before me at my office in Concord in said County, on the Second Wednesday in May next, Ten oClock beforenoon, to show cause why Commission should not be Heard from said office, for the apprizement & distribution of said Estate and that proper measures may there be taken for the legal & final Settlement of the whole of the said deceased's real Estate. We the Subscribers Humbly pray that mr Ephraim Hosmer of acton may be put in Gaurdian over Enos Wheeler Ruth Wheeler and Molly Wheeler.
