Hi Amy, not sure if you found this out already, but I just read that according to his service record he served in the 31st Regiment.--Friendlyskies 04:02, 9 February 2015 (UTC)

Sorry, I just saw this comment tonight asking about his regiment. John served in the Wisconsin 31st Infantry, Company G. I have confirmation he was a POW but would like to find what camp he was in.--Heidishuler 05:41, 1 July 2015 (UTC)
