Person talk:Ifor Bledri (1)

Source for Ifor [5 February 2013]

Does anyone know the source for Ifor being a child in this family?--Werebear 07:22, 5 February 2013 (EST)

This looks like the beginning of a long un-sourced tree. If you don't hear from anyone - and I suspect you won't - and you don't find anything supporting this in the usual places - mark it with the template {{Wr-delete-project}}. I try not to orphan tree chunks if I can avoid it. Instead, I try to delineate the parts that aren't supported by using that template. When I'm happy that I understand the perimeter of the unsourced stuff - then I'll go through and delete all the person and family pages in a single swath.
One other thing - don't feel guilty about marking something like this. If there really is a source for the material, and it's someday found, it will be an easy thing to add it back (and thanks again for working out here!) --jrm03063 10:18, 5 February 2013 (EST)
Now, I have found this from Oman: "(Research) KINSHIP: Conflict/Error> Thomas' 'Golden Grove MS' book 7 page D849 gives him questionable additional sons. First, Ifor who was Lord of St. Clears and marrige Tangwystl ferch Hywel "Sais", but the descent from here down is linked elsewhere. Secondly, Robert who descends from Bledri "Latimer", but several generations are missing. An additonal daughter is given, Joan {Gwenllian ferch Rhys}, but she is the daughter of his son Rhys. (Research) KINSHIP: Conflict/Error> Joseph Morris' 'Shropshire Genealogies' volume 3 page 1290 gives him two sons named Ivor and Robert." --Werebear 17:41, 5 February 2013 (EST)
If the situation is too muddled for a person of ordinary intelligence to sort out - surgical delete is still a reasonable option. It's not as if the person who did the original upload gave you much to work with... --jrm03063 17:53, 5 February 2013 (EST)
