Who were his parents? [10 December 2013]

Many sources claim his parents were Abraham Coffman and Margaret Triplett.

According to the book "A genealogy and history of the Kauffman-Coffman families of North America, 1584 to 1937" [1] pp 708-709, Abraham Coffman son of Nicholas Coffman and Mary Wiscaver moved to Indiana and had a daughter named Catherine who married John Souder.

The known siblings of this Henry Coffman of Kentucky do not include a sister Catherine.
