What is the source for the birthdate? Wikipedia (which is itself a second-hand source) doesn't give a source for it, either, and yet it's the "source" for the assertion here. --MikeTalk 13:45, 3 September 2010 (EDT)

Isn't it wonderful that the information is present that allows you to make that critical evaluation? Most of the pages I encounter in trying to clean up the medieval and noble areas are entirely devoid of sources - let alone sources tagged to facts. --Jrm03063 14:55, 3 September 2010 (EDT)

The trouble is, much of the entries for medieval individuals comes from the work of the LDS Medieval Families Unit. Although the criterion for inclusion was that it must be sourced. Unfortunately the committee chose not to document the sources in the published data. Sometime back, they began to to put some of it online along with sources. Maybe someday it will all be available.--Scot 16:01, 3 September 2010 (EDT)
