Winslow Lewes born at Marshfield the Son of Mr Isaih and Abigel Lewes the third day of July 1741.

  4.   Several sources report the birth as Wellfleet 3 Jul 1738, and accordingly, the age at death as 63, instead of Marshfield 3 Jul 1741 and age 60. It is not clear what the source of the error is. Source:Freeman, Frederick. History of Cape Cod : Annals of the Thirteen Towns of Barnstable County (1862), p. 2:676; 400 Years of Lewes-Lewis, p. 47; and Source:New England Historical and Genealogical Register (1863), p. 17:164, are examples. However, this seems doubtful given both a birth and baptism record from independent sources saying 1741.
