    OBITUARY

    Wilma R. Hatfield

    Wilam R. Hatfield, 83, of Route 1, Novinger, Missouri, passed away Monday (June 14, 1993) at the Kirksville Osteopathic Medical Center.

    The daughter of R.A. and Chloe Jellison Roberts, she was born November 27, 1909 in Green City, Missouri south of the Prairie Community Chapel.

    On December 19, 1931 she married Roscoe Young who preceded her in death in April of 1948. Then in November of 1948 she married John Hatfield who preceded her in death in October of 1970.

    Also preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Clarence Roberts in 1980; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

    Mrs. Hatfield received her ecucation in the Comstock and Green City schools and graduated from the Green City High School in 1929. She spent the majority of her married life in the Martinstown community before moving to Novinger in 1963. Wilma was active in her church and community activities such as RSVP and Oats and she enjoyed life, her family, friends, neighbors, quilting, gardening, and her dog.

    She was a member of the Novinger Baptist Church.

    Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Thursday (June 17, 1993) at the Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, Missouri. The Reverend Darrell Crooks will officiate the service. Music will be provided by Dianthe Cable, organist and Kathy Bell, soloist. The selections will be "Because He Lives" and "Abide with me." Burial will be in the Martinstown Cemetery in Martinstown, Missouri.

    Pallbearers will be Vincent McQueen, Gary Bell, Adolf Blacksmith, Rusty Phillips, Mike Beck and David Lewis.
