Wilma K. Stellinga, 86 years old, of Sioux Falls, passed away on November 14, 2011, with her family at her side. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 17, 1:30 pm, at First Christian Reformed Church, 2901 East 26th, Sioux Falls. Visitation will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, November 16, with the family present from 5:00-7:00 pm, at Miller West Funeral Chapel, 41st Street and Valley View Road.

Wilma Katherine Kuipers was born on March 18, 1925, in Sanborn, IA, to Jake and Mary (Snip) Kuipers. She received her education in the local area, and graduated from high school at Hull Western Christian. In 1946, Wilma was united in marriage to Jude Stellinga. The couple was blessed with seven children, Sherwin, Joe, Mark, Nora, Twyla, Randall, and Becky. Wilma was a stay-at-home Mom, but was able to work part-time for Sears for several years. Jude passed away in 1971.

Some of Wilma’s greatest pleasures involved raising her seven children and being involved in the lives of her grandchildren. She enjoyed doing oil paintings, spending time in her gardens, and visiting with her neighbors.

Wilma is survived by: daughters, Nora (Guillermo) Robles of Sioux Falls, Twyla (Dan) Roskup of Sioux Falls, and Becky Stellinga of Sioux Falls; sons Sherwin (Barbara) of Sioux Falls, Joe (Carolyn) of Watertown, Mark (Connie) of Iowa City, IA, and Randall Stellinga of Kansas City, MO; eleven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. Wilma is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Jude; sisters Betty and Marge; and brothers Ivan, John, and Jerry.
