↑ The birth of Willing is given with a date of 15 Apr 1771 in Arnold, but this conflicts with the birth of Thankful on 21 Oct 1721, and whereas Thankful is in the right order given the 1771 birth, the record for Willing's birth follows that of Hannah b. 1773, suggesting it should say 1775. Source:Ballou, Adin. Elaborate History and Genealogy of the Ballous in America (329876), p. 149-150, (apparently based on Source:Jillson, David. Genealogy of the Gillson and Jillson Family, P. 38) covers this family and does not show a child named Willing, but adds Martha b. 1777 and Stephen b. 1779 not shown in Arnold, further suggesting 1775 is the correct year for Willing. The Cumberland records do not seem to be available online to check. Ballou shows a Deliverance Jillson, b. 21 Oct 1771. No birth record for Deliverance is found. That birth belongs to Thankful and the gravestone of Deliverance in 1845, age 70 (i.e., the actual gravestone, and not the grossly fanciful interpretation found on the memorial page, see also death record), suggests she was born 1775. Is she the same child that Arnold calls Willing? No record of Willing outside of Arnold has been located.
