Mina looked after her Aunt Bessie's husband Uncle Danny until he died age 97 in 1955. She then cared for her mother until she died in 1964. Finally she looked after her sister-in-law Nannie until Nannie went into a home. Mina eventually moved to Inverness and lived with her brother Andrew and his second wife Zena. She later spent time in nursing homes until her death at the age of 96.
