christened 20 Jun 1599 in Kirkham, Lancashire, England
    father: Rowland Torneborow

This seems like a fair distance from Rowland's home, unless there was another Kirkham than the one in the Borough of Fylde. (Or maybe this is supposed to be Kirkby in Kendall.) It is known that William was the eldest son when his father wrote his will, and that he was aged 12 years, 6 months and 23 days at this father's death, so the date makes sense.
