[edit] The Will of William Tenney"William Tenney, d. unmarried between 25 March 1591, when he made his will, and 22 June 1591, when it was probated. Calling himself 'Willyan Tennie of Limber in the Countie of Lincoln Batcheler,' he gave '… to Thomas Harrison one ewe … to Elizabethe Harrison one ewe and 5s … to Marie Milson one lambe and a sacke of maulte … to Elizabeth Tennye ten sheepe and a sack of barley that John Mumbie oweth him [sic] And all the rest of mye goodes and cattells I give and bequeathe to Edwarde Tennye James Tennye John Tennye Will'm Tennye Thomas Tennye Alice Tennye and Isabell Tennye to be equalie devided amongst them and for the better accomplishemente of this mye last will I make Edwarde Tennie aforesaid to be mye whole executor and I give him for his paines a sacke of barley besides his porcon and further I give him x s. that Richard Whittell oweth And also I make my brother Thomas Tennye overseer of this mye will.' Witnesses were Valentine Browne, Robert Mumbie, and Thomas Garland, vicar."[1] References
