Notes on William Strother

Some sources claim that a Francis Strother married Ann Hughes, daughter of Thomas Hughes, Sr., but this appears to be unfounded. The wife of Ann Hughes is likely the William Strother that witnessed the will of Thomas Hughes, Sr. in 1765/66 in Orange County, Virginia. More research may be necessary.
