William Spire was baptised on 16th March 1885 at Bidford-on-Avon in Warwickshire, son of Ellen Spire, formerly Belcher, and her husband Jabez William Spire, a labourer and gardener. Sadly young William died as a very small baby, being buried just three days after his baptism.
