Deacon William Saunders was born in Berlin, N. Y., where he spent his early life. At the age of 16 years he made a profession of faith in Christ in baptism administered by Eld. Wm. Satterlee. At the age of 23 he was married to Miss Naomi Randolph, of the same place. In 1856 they moved west and settled in West Hallock, uniting with our church. In 1882 they united with the Farina church, remaining till 1888, when they moved south, and joined the little church at Hewitt Springs, Miss., of which he was a consistent and worthy member at the time of his death. He died suddenly of heart disease, March 26, 1893, and passed to the home of the good in his 74th year, leaving a wife, six children, and numerous kindred and friends to mourn their loss, but in hope.
