Some trees say the dancing master William, married to Christian OUTERSON, is William son of James and Margaret (MABON) RICHARDSON.
But the dancing master chap consistently states he was born Midlem, Bowden, not Morebattle, and the baptisms for James & Margaret (MABON) RICHARDSON clearly show the family as "in Morebattle".
Unfortunately, the dancing master William moved to England and died there, so we don't have the benefit of an informative Scottish death cert. to confirm or deny this potential id.
All is not lost for the connection however, as it is possible that his mother Margaret was born in Bowden.
A direct male line RICHARDSON descendant of William's could however join the Richardson dna project to see if we get a dna match.

Bowden RICHARDSON baptisms consist of a grand total of 3:
- Mary in 1760 to a George;
- Christian in 1763 to a Henry & Christian (TROTTER);
- James in 1823 to John RICHARDSON & Isabel ANDERSON,
this latter John being the son of James & Margaret (MABON) RICHARDSON whose other children were born in Earlston.
As Christian's parents appear to be a William and Margaret, and we don't appear to have a 2nd daughter to gain a hint of William's mother's name from the Scottish naming pattern, either William's father was also a William, or there's an earlier child we don't yet know about or they didn't follow the naming pattern.
