The first evience of William is found in Berlin Heights in 1839 because his daughter died and was buried there. He is then found with wife and no children in the 1840 census for Huron Co., page 429. In the 1850 census for Sherman TWP, Huron Co., Ohio and the 1860 census for Weston, Wood Co., Ohio we find William, his wife Melissa, and children. The names on both census' match. The migration pattern also matches. I have not found him or Melissa after 1860 yet. I cannot prove that he is Alfred's brother yet, but to much evidence points to it. The childrens names are taken from the 1850 and 1860 census' and Sally's from the cemetery inscription.
