William Martin, b. 11 10m (Dec.) 1662. The published Salisbury VR indicate that William died on the same day. George1 was survived by a son named William, who testified on 9 March 1725/6, "Aged Sixty three years", about what his father, George Martin, had told him about a boundary line some 43 years earlier (Essex Co. Deeds 47:40). Hence his age fits the William born in Dec. 1662. If the death record is correct, the surviving son was probably born near 1663 or 1664 and overstated his age in 1725/6. I (David L. Greene) prefer Hoyt's opinion that the death record is erroneous.
[Note: the Salisbury birth and death records online, probably a copy. The possibility of a second son William seems more likely given the 5-year gap until the birth of Samuel, plenty of room for another child to be born.]
