QUAY 3 "...William Krause, 75 years of age, residing with his daughter, Mrs. Charles Willard, 309 N. Jefferson Ave, died very suddenly yesterday afternoon about 4 o'clock in the store of the Youngs Grocery C o., corner of Ninth and Adams Street. He was apparently in his usual good health...when he was attacked and expired in a few moments. Coroner W. G. Kelly was summoned and decided that death was du e to heart failure. Not inquest was deemed necessary.
Mr. Krause was born in West Prisen, Germany and came to America in 1871. Soon after taking up residence in this City. About 28 years ago he moved to a farm near Auburn and remained there until las t fall when he came here to live with his daughter. Mrs. Krause died about two years ago. Three daughters and three sons survive him... The funeral will take place Sunday...from the residence of Mr . and Mrs. Willard."
