Indenture of 07/25/1741 between Daniel Cole & Constance his wife, John Cood & Nancy his wife, of the one part, and Josiah Clapham, for 50 pds for 1 year 76 ½ acres, part of 153 acres which is part of 460 acres divided among the heirs of Thos. Albin, William King, dec'd & Samuel Thacker. Near a branch of the Potomack River. The 153 acres belonged to William King, dec'd & is a third part of 460 acres laid off in three equal parts for the heirs of Thomas Albin, Samuel Thacker & William King. Aforesaid Constance Cole and Nancy Cood being 2 of 4 daughters of said William King. Witness: Fras Awbrey, Samuel Hull, Ebe Floyd, Richard Roberts.   • I-255: Capt. Josias Clapham of Loudoun County set forth there are 153 acres on Potowmack River in said County, part of 460 acres granted Thomas Albin, Samuel Thacker & William King, 20 Jan. 1724. Said 153 acres became property of Thomas Albin (Records of Prince William County). Albin died intestate without known Heirs. Land Escheated. Clapham posted Advertisement as required, under nad of Mr. Chrles Binns, Clk. of said County. No person showed cause why Escheat Deed should not issue to Clapham. Surv. by John Hough to Clapham. We know that Wiliam King obtained the land 1724 (land records). And that he is dead by 1727 (land records and this gift of deed).
