    "Judson, William. Early at Concord, Mass.; was at Hartford, Conn., in 1639; removed to Stratford by 1644. Later he became interested in the iron works at East Haven village, and settled in New Haven, where he took oath of fidelity 1647, having bought that year the house and orchard of Henry Browning. Married (1) Grace _____, who d. at New Haven, 29 Sept. 1659. He m. (2) Elizabeth, widow of Benjamin Wilmot, Jr., and previously of _____ Heaton. In 1660 he gave his Stratford lands to his three sons. Will 20 Nov. 1661, mentions his old age; eldest son Joseph; sons Joseph and Jeremiah to have his interest in the iron works near Stony River; his wife's daus. Hannah, Mercy, and Elizabeth Wilmot; servant Peter Simpson. Inv. 15 Dec. 1662. His widow d. in 1685, leaving a will."
