Wirral 13-03-2006, 08:07 PM Hi All As my daughter puts it, I am off "dead dude hunting" at Liverpool Central Library on Friday 17th March if anyone wants any lookups. |jumphappy Please note that the library only has church records, newspapers, etc for the city of Liverpool, not for other areas of Lancashire. For a newspaper lookup, a burial or a baptism I need the actual date as these are not indexed at the library. For a baptism I also need the name of the church. For a marriage I need the name of the church & at least the year. The full date (eg from the IGI) will make it much easier for me. The library has Church of England, Roman Catholic & some Non-Conformist records. It also has electoral registers for Liverpool, but for these an exact address is essential as they are not name indexed. If you have asked me to do a lookup at the library in the last few weeks, then I have probably made a note of it, but feel free to remind me.
ElizabethS 16-03-2006, 01:53 PM Wirral I thought I had run out of space, so this is a continuation. The * people I am certain are my family, the ** I am fairly sure and I think one of the Thomases are as well. I don't know whether more details in the register will confirm this or not. Many thanks indeed Elizabeth Wirral 17-03-2006, 10:53 PM hi Elizabeth Most of the Johnsons were yours.
