    Anthony Crockett (1756-1838) enlisted, 1776, for two years under Capt. Thomas Posey, Col. Alexander McClennahan. He was at Bound Brook and the surrender of Burgoyne. He was commissioned lieutenant, 1778, of the Illinois regiment raised by Virginia and served under Col. George Clark at the battle of Blue Licks, and was placed on the pension roll for two years' actual service as lieutenant in the Virginia Line. He was born in Prince Edward County, Va. ; died in Franklin County, Ky.
