    "Sir William L'Engleys, descended from the family who held Little Asby (W), acquired Highhead Castle. He was Chief Forester of Inglewood from 1328, and was succ. by his son Sir William (d. 1369) whose dau. and heir Isabel, aged 24 in 1369, marr. Sir Nicholas Harington, of Farleton (d. 1403) (CW 2 xii). Arms. Sable three lions rampant Argent (FFC; and so quartered by Sandford, of Askham, see FCW). NB (i 425) gives: Sable three lions rampant caud inflexed (i.e. coward) Argent.
