DARBE, William, s. John, [born] Aug. 14, 1698. NR [Note: According to Source:Stearns, Ezra S. Early Generations of the Founders of Old Dunstable : Thirty Families, p. 17-8, the name "Darbyshire" [as he spells it] was spelled many ways, including Derby, and some branches actually took on that spelling later. He includes this child in John's family, presumably since there is no Derby family appearing in the Dunstable records.]
