Davis, John - entered service 1777 in Monmouth County, New Jersey, where born 5/1/1755; moved abt. age 37 to Harrison County, Virginia, where granted Pension in 1833, resided at Greenbrier Fork of Middle Island Creek; died 6/20/1842 in Lewis County, Virginai; married 8/1814 to Margaret Kelso, Harrison County, Virginia; widow granted Pension age 84 in Lewis County, Virginia in 1855; affidavit made in 1833 by soldier's brother William age 75 in Harrison County, Virginia, that he was also a New Jersey Revolutionary War soldier.
