William W. Conklin, son of John and Rebecca (Creagar) Conklin was born on 25 March 1858 in Hamilton County, Ohio. He was a farmer. His first wife, Hellen was born in 1860. The 1880 census shows them living in Sycamore Township (Hamilton County), Ohio. Around 1899, William married Louella Rymel (Rhymell), daughter of George and Clorah Rymell. Louella was born about 1870 in Ohio. In 1910 they were living in Symmes Township (Hamilton County), Ohio. William died on 9 February 1924 in Hamilton County. His funeral was at the Montgomery Presbyterian Church in Hamilton County. He is buried at Hopewell Cemetery in Hamilton County. His father who died in 1904 doesn't mention him in his will but does leave quite a bit to his wife. Louella died as result of a spinal cord/ spinal column injury from an accidental fall from a cherry tree in January, 1914. William and his first wife were probably divorced as the 1930 Cincinnati city directory lists Hellen Conkling as widow of Wm. W. Conkling living at 2535 Ashland Avenue.
