From: "...and they came to mara", p. 152 "William Cleary (of County Tipperary?) left Ireland with his wife, Mary A nn O'Reilly, and their two children, Michael and Ellen. They Settled in N ewmarket and later moved to Mara. William purchased LOT 19 CON 10 in 185 6. The family holdings later included part LOT 18 CON 10. Enumerated in the 1861 census of Mara were the widow Mary CLARY [sic] wi th her children, Michael and Ellen..."
