[Note: claims he bought land in Rutland 15 Mar 1728 and had an association with merchant William Blair of Boston, but this is probably all confusion, as those transactions all appear to occur after his death.]

[Note: The Magazine for the Detroit Society for Genealogical Research says "On 4 Jun 1724, William Gray, at the desire of his sister Mary, was appointed by the court at Cambridge to administer, with her, the estate of her husband William Blair who had died in Framingham." While Mary by right could have been sole administrator, so probably did request help, and it seems accepted that William Gray was her brother, the specification of their relationship does not actually appear in the probate file. It was however, mentioned in the recorded version Vol. 17, p. 212 dated 15 Jan 1724[/25] "Administration ...committed to Mary Blair his widow and (at her desire) to William Gray (her Brother) of Worcester...". The presence of Robert and John as sureties makes it almost certain the brother relationship was to Mary and not an in-law relationship. Of course, William Blair had not died by 4 Jun 1724. Possibly this was a typo, meaning 4 Jan 1724/25, but that date does not agree with either the file or recorded documents.]
