William attended Geneva College, Class of 1881. He was first a buyer in the silk department of O'Neils Dept. Store in New York City. Later hemoved on the home farm and was a commercial traveler. He was a dealer infarm implements and machinery, Bellefontaine, OH. He was Assistant StateAgent for Continental Paper Bag Co. of Indianapolis later he lived in Bellefontaine. William was a ruling elder in the Reformed Presbyterian Church.
