Syracuse Herald Journal, 31 Aug 1955: TWO COUPLES FETED ON ANNIVERSARY North Bay-- A double anniversary celebration was observed in honor of the 51st year of marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Walter A. Collins of this village Mr. Collins is a lifelong resident of North Bay, and is a retired farmer and gravel bed operator. He was born Aug. 15, 1979 [!] and is active in the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Vienna.

Utica Daily Press, 17 Dec 1960: WALTER A. COLLINS North Bay-- Walter A. Collins, 80, owner and operator of a gravel bed business for many years, died yesterday in his home in East Lake ST after a long illness. He was born Aug. 15, 1880 at Panther Lake, son of Walter Asa Collins and Electa Collins. On Aug. 28, 1904 in Oneida he married Emma L. Rogers, with the Rev. J.E. Allen officiating. She died in March 1960. Mr. Collins was a resident of this area since 1918 and retired from the gravel bed business in 1945. He was a member of the Vienna Adventist Church and was a member of the North Bay Volunteer Fire Department. He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Sable; three sons, Harold, Walton and William, all of North Bay; a sister, Mrs. Jennie Becker, Munnsville; a brother, Eugene Collins, Vienna; 13 grandchildren... The funeral will be... tomorrow from the Sanborn Funeral Home in Camden, with Elder H.K. West officiating. Burial will be in North Bay Cemetery.
