  6. There are two cousins named Wales Cheney of similar age. There is a death record submitted to the state from Orange in 1843 (here) giving an age of 41, which makes it look like the son of Nathaniel, but the gravestone for this date gives an age of 36, so it is the son of Nathan. Meanwhile, the gravestone of the son of Nathaniel explicitly gives his birthdate as 1801, death date 1881.
