From Ramon Jackson: "Virginia married Dr. Wilford Richard Mills who she met in Recife, Pernambucu, Brazil while she was visiting her sister Elizabeth while on her way back to the United States after several years teaching in Buenos Aries. Bill was apparently there in connection with some sort of research. They met at a New Year's party at the British Club. Elizabeth announced their engagement in a letter to the U.S. family April 1, 1937. Bill was headed to Cornell for his doctorate."
