    Vincent Compton and wife Frances (Frankey/Fannie) lived at Pittsylvania/Halifax County Virginia prior to moving into early Wilson County, Tennessee. Vincent Compton died in Wilson County, Tennessee by 1807 and his wife, Frankey Compton returned with her sister to Allen Creek area of Pittsylvania/Halifax County Virginia where on the 4th day of May 1811 she gave consent for her daughter Seeny to marry JOHN W. FLETCHER.

    The will of Vincent Compton could not be found, but an old inventory found on the courthouse floor many years ago was saved and is recorded there.
